So today, we have Seth joining us. He's a freshman at the High School and was interested in Robotics. (We're getting ready to watch the game right now) He's a pretty great kid! #randomupdate

Competition Dates will be:
November 15th, at Osky. :D December 2nd at Knoxville December 12th at schools name: I-35 town: Truro Specific times are to be determined. As far as the bake sale, we made just under 200 dollars! A huge thank you to the parents/kids who made food for the event. :) Competitions are EXTREMELY close to starting so if your son/daughter is not signed up yet, get that way. you can visit usfirst.org to sign up. And one more thing: the contest for the 3D printer was pushed back to a further date. Keep your fingers crossed guys! :D We need a 300 word essay about how our team would use a 3-D printer and why we would like an EKOCYCLE printer in particular. Include if/how you plan on recycling your prints and empty filament cartridges. Also, attach one sketch or picture of the type of parts your team plans to make with the printer.

Here you can get a small idea of what the new room looks like (for those of you who haven't seen it yet). There is the main room, and the smaller one. It is obviously bigger than the last one and it's a lot of fun! :D

Other updates: - Both 3608 and 4443's robots name is...still undecided. Hopefully the names will be picked out by the time the first competition rolls around. - The cardboard has been layer out and the teams are trying different methods and A LOT of drafts have been made. - The big glass window is full of doodles and designs too. Speaking of the glass window, lets talk about the room. Everyone has adjusted quite well and quickly. It's going well. We'll post pictures soon. - A lot of kids are spending time learning how to code, and it's going well too! A lot of pictures will be uploaded shortly. :) |
